Is this 100% Free? – Yes this course is 100% Free. It has been funded by the West Midlands Combined Local Authority as part of their Digital Skills Training initiative.
Am I eligible? – If you are 18+ and if you live in Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton and are unemployed or employed and at the risk of redundancy or a care leaver, or would like to retrain in the Digital sector then this is the programme for you.
How long is the course? This is a 12 week online course
What topics will we cover? – During the training you will gain a clear understanding of Information security management issues including risk management, security standards, legislation and business continuity. Not only this but additional coaching will assist with the transition into a new employment sector.
What is the daily structure? – Our daily structure is 9:30am-3:00pm Monday- Thursday and every other Friday we will host employability sessions as well as coaching.
How will the course be delivered? We deliver this course via our online learning platform and digital classroom. During our live interactive sessions the tutors will teach you all topics using a range of teaching methods e,g. videos, discussions and group work.
Is the exam included? – Yes the exam is included.
What is the accredited qualification? – BCS Foundation Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (The Charted Institute of IT)
What level is the training? Level 3
Do I get paid? Although you are not paid for undertaking the course, we pay for your training and exam.
